A 5-year-old boy with autism who was reported missing in Kennedy Township on Tuesday, September 2, has been found safe, Allegheny County police said.
The search began after Jediah Jackson, who is nonverbal, was last seen around 11:50 a.m. on the 300 block of Ewing Road, according to investigators.
According to police, Jediah stands about 3.5 feet tall and was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved fleece and khaki pants. He was holding a green dinosaur toy at the time.
At 7:10 p.m., Allegheny County police confirmed Jediah’s safe location.
“Thank you to all of the first responders who assisted, our media partners for helping get the word out, and everyone that shared across these platforms,” a statement from the police department read.
