Police Say A Man Injected A Mother With Meth Before Beating Her To Death And Stuffing Her Body In A Trash Can

A Louisiana man was charged with murdering his own mother after police said he admitted to injecting her with methamphetamine and beating her to death.

Aaron Lloyd, 33, was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail after Opelousas Police Department officers questioned him about the death of his mother, 65-year-old Lisa Lloyd.

According to police, neighbors on Park Circle in Opelousas discovered Lisa Lloyd’s body in a trash can on Sunday and reported it to police.

In a Facebook post announcing the arrest, police stated that “a male subject had admitted to killing his mother and placing her body in a trash can at the location.”

Police said they found Aaron Lloyd at another residence and brought him to the police station for questioning.

According to police, Aaron Lloyd did not resist questioning. After being taken into custody without incident, he allegedly admitted to police that he injected Lisa Lloyd with methamphetamine before beating her to death.

While police did not explicitly identify Aaron Lloyd as the “male subject” who called, the caller allegedly stated that he not only murdered “his mother” but also hid her body in a garbage can.

The garbage can and body were discovered beneath the carport of Lisa Lloyd’s Park Circle home.

A motive for the alleged murder was not given.

Aaron Lloyd was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated second-degree battery, obstructing justice, failing to seek help, and distributing Schedule II drugs.

According to police, he was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail, and the police department confirmed to Law&Crime that he is still in custody, with no bail set as of Tuesday afternoon.

In a statement, Opelousas Police Chief Graig LeBlanc called the case “deeply tragic,” adding, “We ask that everyone keep the Lloyd family lifted in prayer during this incredibly difficult time.”

Anderson also informed local NBC affiliate KADN that Aaron Lloyd “did admit to the crime.” He said, “Right now, we really need prayers for the family.

This is a tragic situation that has now occurred in our community. This is literally a son and a mother, and we ask for your prayers at this time for the Lloyd family.”
