Police Searching for Missing Minnesota Resident with Ties to Wyoming

MINNESOTA — Authorities are urgently searching for 19-year-old Elizabeth Marie Burton, who went missing early Monday morning in Brooklyn Park.

Burton was last seen leaving her home on Pearson Parkway near Norwood Park just after midnight, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA). Before she left, she told others in the house that she was planning to meet her boyfriend. However, no one saw her get into a vehicle or saw the boyfriend, raising concerns about her safety.

Police are actively investigating her disappearance and have expressed deep concern for her well-being. They are urging anyone with information about Elizabeth’s whereabouts to immediately contact the Brooklyn Park Police Department at 763-493-8222 or call 911.

Though this case is unfolding in Minnesota, its reach has touched communities far beyond—including Wyoming, where family and friends anxiously hope for her safe return.

If you’re in Wyoming or anywhere else and know anything that might help, please come forward. Every lead counts in bringing Elizabeth home safely.
