RMBA News | August 20, 2023

Summer has been cooking along and the Rocky Mountain Breeders Association (RMBA) is no different.
We have had a hopping busy summer. The fun-filled events on the roster are down to the August Ranch Horse Competition on August 26-27, 2023. It, too, is set for the Saddle Peak Equestrian Center at 3336 Spain Bridge Rd, outside of Belgrade.

If you’ve been wondering what the ranch horse series looks like, what it entails, come on down if your schedule allows. You’ll see a group of friends, much enthusiasm and a lot of laughter. Better yet, you’ll see there are classes suited for every level of horse and/or rider.

The RMBA is the most affordable association out there when wanting to do some cow work, but still looking for the skill level of dry work (a reining pattern), topped with the uniqueness of the trail course. Whether you’ve shown these types of events before or are coming in without the background, that is okay. The RMBA has exactly what you’re looking for! No other association is doing what the RMBA does and has been doing for two decades!

Show starts at 9:00 A.M. Rider’s meeting at 8:45 A.M. You’ll be delighted to see the highly qualified and experienced judges involved, as well.

Following are the results from the July 29-30, 2023, Ranch Horse Competition. You’ll notice that the full results are shown, versus the top 3. Hope you all enjoy seeing the awesome competitors that are coming to the shows! The show was held at Saddle Peak Equestrian Center. Judge for the cow and dry work was Jess Holloway of Holloways Pretty Good Horse Barn. Amy Beck judged the Trail course for the weekend. You’ll note the number in parenthesis behind the class, this is the number of entrants in the class. There were schooling class entries. Those are not listed here for show results as they’re not jackpot or Year End Award eligible.

Placings show at the end of the row.
