Lander, WY –  The 131st Fremont Toyota Pioneer Days Rodeo, dubbed “The World’s Oldest Paid Rodeo,” on July 3rd and 4th in Lander, Wyoming, will now offer $20,000 in increased payouts for contestants.

All rodeo contestants must enter between 12 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 21 by calling the Lander Old Timer’s Rodeo Association (LOTRA) at 307-349-8070, 307-349-8108, or 307-349-1981. Contestants will be registered in the order in which they call, first come, first served. For more information, visit LOTRA.org.

Each night, $1,000 will be added to the purses of rodeo roughstock and steer wrestling contestants. Also new is the Women’s Ranch Bronc Riding event! Contestants in this women’s roughstock event, as well as men’s ranch bronc riding, bull riding, saddle and bareback bronc riding, and steer wrestling, will compete for additional money on July 3 and 4.

The Men’s and Women’s Indian Relay Races will also have $1000 added each night, as well as $500 for the Youth Indian Relay Race. For information on entry fees and additional funds for all events, please visit LOTRA.org.

Dam Bucking Horses supplies rough stock, Hoggan & Sutton Rodeo supplies timed event stock, and Jace Mitchell provides steer riding and mini bulls.

Rodeo fans can purchase convenient online tickets now at LOTRA.org to avoid the lines at the rodeo. Tickets will also be sold at four rodeo ticket booths on July 3 and 4 at the rodeo grounds entrance gates. Online and gate tickets are Adult-$20.00, Child (ages 6-12)-$10.00, with children 5 and under free.

Discounted pre-sale tickets for adults and children will only be available at the Lander Chamber of Commerce and the following local businesses: Lander Ace Hardware, First Interstate Bank (Lander), and the Lander Parks & Recreation Department. Adult tickets are $18.00, children (ages 6-12) are $8.00, and children under the age of five are free.

Lander’s Pioneer Days Parade is still accepting entries. Entry forms are available from the Lander Chamber of Commerce.
