Royal Crown – Rock Springs Barrel Race Results, 2022

The Royal Crown event held in Rock Springs, Wyoming this year had an added money value more than $1-million dollars. With money like that up for grabs, many attended the event at the Sweetwater Events Complex.

In the Barrel Race, Kassie Mowry came out atop the Futurity Average, riding KL Touch of Heaven (JL DASH TA HEAVEN X JUNIOR COUNTRY GIRL(BURRS FIRST DOWN)) with a total time of 30.287 seconds. The 1D Futurity spot paid out $40,000 to Mowry as the owner, $6,390 to Stallion Pay, and $6,390 to the breeder, Karma Loftin.

2D Futurity winner, Sierra Schlenker and A Wonderful Fling (A STREAK OF FLING X PACIFIC WONDER JET (ZING ZANG WONDER)) earned themselves a title and purse of $10,500 with a total time of 31.792 seconds.

In the Derby, Kassie Mowry did it again, winning the 1D with Famous Ladies Man (DASH TA FAME X LADY PERKS (DASH FOR PERKS)) with a total time of 29.858 seconds. In the 2D Megan Swint ran a total time of 31.417 seconds on DTF Wicked (DASH TA FAME X EYE EYE COALY (MR EYE OPENER)).
