Sheridan Man Arrested On Multiple Drug Charges

A Sheridan man was charged with multiple counts of drug possession in Fourth Judicial District Court on Tuesday. Ron Richter from Sheridan Media has the details.

On August 12, 2025, the Sheridan Police Department received an anonymous report that drugs were being stored in a freezer at an apartment on 580 East 5th Street.

The tip resulted in the arrest of 44-year-old Zachariah Moon for allegedly possessing LSD and Psilocybin. Moon pleaded guilty to one count of felony possession of a controlled substance for carrying more than 3/10 of a gram of LSD and one count of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance – Psilocybin at an arraignment hearing in District Court in Sheridan on Tuesday.

District Court Judge Darci Phillips has scheduled a two-day jury trial to begin on January 26, 2026, with a pretrial meeting on January 6 at 10:30 a.m.

Moon’s bond was renewed on the identical terms and circumstances as were previously established in Circuit Court. If convicted on both counts, Moon could face up to six years in prison and $11,000 in fines.
