SNAP Texas Payment: Who gets their benefits during the third week of July 2025?

Texas’ Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a state and federal initiative that provides financial assistance to low-income individuals and families to help them purchase healthy food.

Beneficiaries can use the allocated funds at authorized stores using an electronic card known as the Lone Star Card, which functions similarly to a debit card.

SNAP not only covers basic foods, but it also allows you to buy seeds for your own garden, promoting food security. The program aims to improve food security and nutritional well-being, particularly among families with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

When do they deposit on the Texas Snap card?

SNAP will continue to distribute benefits on a monthly basis in Texas through July 2025. The payments are credited to the Lone Star card in a staggered order based on the last two digits of the beneficiary’s case number (EDG).

This week, from July 15 to 21, the deposit will be made to those whose EDG number ends with certain digits.

During the third week of the month, payments will be made to families whose EDG numbers fall into the following ranges:

July 15: 50-53
July 16: 54-57
July 17: 58-60
July 18: 61-64
July 19: 65-67
July 20: 68-71
July 21: 72-74

Payments are automatically deposited and can be used at any SNAP-accepting physical or online store. Households certified before May 1, 2023 will keep their original issuance schedule, unless they have not received benefits in at least six months.

Requirements for Texas SNAP

To be eligible for SNAP in Texas, you must meet certain monthly income requirements. For example, a four-person household must earn less than $4,125 per month.

Larger families can add $707 per additional person. Furthermore, they must follow employment regulations: most people aged 16 to 59 must look for work or participate in approved programs.

The maximum monthly SNAP amounts vary depending on household size. A one-person household can receive up to $291, while a family of five could receive up to $1,155.

In special cases, such as disabilities or pregnancy, different rules apply, which may allow for extended benefits without the usual work requirements.

In urgent cases, such as expedited requests or hearing-related decisions, the system can issue benefits in less than one hour.
