The Workforce Services report shows a modest reduction in employment in Fremont County compared to 2024; earnings are increased

(Cheyenne, WY) – According to a report released this month by the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services’ Research and Planning section, Fremont County was one of 12 Wyoming counties that saw employment decreases between the first quarter of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025.

According to the report, there were 15,152 jobs in Fremont County in the first quarter of 2025, a decrease of 35, or.2 percent, from the same period in 2024, when there were 15,188 jobs.

Total wages did, however, rise from $187.78 million in the first quarter of 2024 to $190.7 million in the first quarter of 2025, representing a $2.9 million, or 1.6 percent, increase, according to the report.

Similarly, the report shows that the average weekly wage in Fremont County increased from $951 in the first quarter of 2024 to $968 in the first quarter of 2025, representing a $17, or 1.8 percent, gain.

The report also shows that total payroll increased in 19 other counties.

According to the report, total employment increased by 717 jobs (.3 percent) and total payroll increased by $140.7 million (3.4 percent) between the first quarter of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025.
