Here’s an important reminder from the New York State Police:

Yesterday, a New York State Trooper’s vehicle was hit by a tractor-trailer on I-390 near Dansville during a routine traffic stop. Fortunately, the Trooper was outside the vehicle at the time and wasn’t hurt.

This close call highlights just how critical the Move Over Law is. When you see emergency or highway vehicles stopped on the side of the road with flashing lights, you’re required to slow down and safely move over.
