CASPER, Wyo. — Wyoming district courts found two men guilty of illegally reentering the United States following a prior deportation and re-deported them to Mexico.
According to the Wyoming District of the United States Attorney’s Office, these two Mexican residents were discovered to be illegally present in the country after being accused of committing separate crimes.
Juan Flores-Pinuelas, a 37-year-old man from Chihuahua, was sentenced to time served and will be deported to Mexico immediately after appearing before U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson in Cheyenne on August 18.
Flores-Pineulas was reportedly arrested on January 3 in Uinta County for domestic battery. After his arrest, fingerprint analysis revealed that he was not a US citizen, so Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers were contacted.
ICE discovered that he had previously attempted to enter the United States and was deported in December 2018. The attorney’s office did not say how long Flores-Pineulas spent in the United States after reentering.
29-year-old Jose Guadelupe Luna-Murillo was arrested in Sweetwater County in November 2024 for driving while intoxicated. He reportedly gave a written statement revealing that he was from Jalisco, Mexico, and was in the country illegally.
Luna-Murillo’s fingerprints indicated that he had previously been deported, this time in September 2018.
On September 4, U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl handed him his sentence of time served and immediate deportation in Casper.
