The Wyoming Department of Education recently named the recipients of the 2025-26 Wyoming Trust Fund for Innovative Education grants, which included two local districts: Fort Washakie (FCSD #21) and Shoshoni (FCSD #24).
Seven school districts, ranging from small to large, will receive $250,000 to support curriculum development, staff development programs, technology acquisition, and applied science programs.
“This grant cycle drew considerable interest throughout Wyoming, with 26 districts submitting proposals requesting a combined total of more than $1.3 million in funding,” the WDE stated in the release.
Funds from the Wyoming Trust Fund for Innovative Education are available for one year and will be distributed to districts by July 31.
The remaining districts are Albany County School District #1, Carbon County School District #1, Natrona County School District #1, Platte County School District #2, and Weston County School District #7.
