On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce hosted an Ambassadors’ ribbon cutting to commemorate the opening of the new Whitney Commons East Park Playground.
The new 9,700-square-foot playground is divided into two sections: one for children aged 0 to 5, and another for those aged 7 to 12. To serve an older audience, the complex also features picnic benches and four pieces of fitness equipment (a recumbent bike, walker, leg press, and chest press).
