Wyoming County Honors Veterans: Batavia Business & Professional Women’s Club Keeps Memorial Day Tradition Alive

Honoring Heroes: Batavia Business & Professional Women’s Club Continues Memorial Day Tribute Across Wyoming County

This morning, members of the Batavia Business and Professional Women’s Club, Inc. gathered to continue a heartfelt Memorial Day tradition — placing American flags on the graves of veterans to honor their service and sacrifice.

The flags were respectfully placed in cemeteries located in Bethany and East Bethany, both nestled in the heart of Wyoming County, New York. This marks the fifth consecutive year the organization has proudly upheld this meaningful act of remembrance, a tradition they began in 2020.

The club extended special thanks to the Town of Bethany for purchasing and supplying the flags used in this year’s tribute.

With each flag, the community pays silent tribute to the courage, commitment, and legacy of its local heroes — ensuring they are never forgotten.
